Dealing with colours - Part 4: Red & Orange

How it begins

When we are working with stones, we often start by creating the designs. We know where we want to get and we search for the way. Having in mind a specific model for a necklace or a pair of earrings, we start choosing the materials: stones, pendants, chains, locks and so on.

But… it happens that some colours call us and invite to explore our creativity. We open the drawer looking for a specific stone, we feel its energy and we’re trying to find the best way to present its beauty.

Often the red and orange stones call us and maybe we find an explanation.

Red

Red is the colour of fire, passion and confidence. Red has long been associated with determination, purpose, energy and vitality. It’s the warmest of all colours and can be emotionally intense, but it will excite you and it will give you a boost of energy.

It’s well known that red stones can raise your enthusiasm level.

Red is the colour of Tuesday and red gemstones are ruled by Mars (God of War).

Our selection of red stones is: Garnet, Red Jasper, Agate, Red Aventurine.

Why red?

Red gemstones are recommended when you need motivation and when you face a situation that requires passion and energy. They will always keep you on your feet and give you the courage to move forward in life to achieve your dream.

Orange

Orange is the result of combining the colours red and yellow and is considered an energetic colour. Orange represents confidence, joy, excitement and enthusiasm. Also known as a colour of power, orange is believed to deliver strength and fortitude to those who wear it.

Sunday can be a good day to wear orange stones and our favourites are Sunstone and Carnelian.

They can be used to increase creativity, to support your emotional health, to accentuate personal power and bring confidence.

Why orange?

When going through a period of change in your life, it’s believed that they make you more adaptable to change, helping you go with the flow. If you are feeling you need to spice things up in your life, add a few orange crystals to boost your creative juices.

The mineral world if full of wonders. Let your intuition guide to find your own companion. The right stone will come to you.
